I grew up on the Internet. With a pirated version of Adobe software (sorry, Adobe) and a whole summer of nothing, I spent my youth on video game forums making "tags" for members (nerds) of the communities. After that, design became so inherent in my life that I couldn't escape it.
Fast forward: I've been working at Young & Laramore in Indianapolis since 2012 as a designer, Art Director and mostly recently, Design Director.
I once involuntarily blurted out "fuck" in the middle of a catholic middle school basketball game (I was being fouled and the refs weren't calling ANYTHING). A silence fell over the audience and then they stopped the game. My mom wasn't too happy.
My sister and I used to put on shows for my parents and sing/rap/perform the "Sister Act" soundtrack. I had one of those plastic karaoke machines that aspiring singers have at the age of 7 that really made all the difference during the performance. Better than a hairbrush...
The first email address I ever owned was Dr_Inferno_3000@hotmail.com. Apparently I was drawn to evil doctor-type villians. Or the name of a dish at the nearest Latin American gastro pub.
